Flower Arrangement Competition |

| Early in the new year, various events of traditional arts are held.
This time, I introduce you to the flower event of celebrating new year.
Kanazawa city where I live in is the most active city about traditional arts next to Kyoto. This is the exhibition of flower arrangement. 200 masters of floral arrangement got together and compete against each other with their sophisticated skills and heightened inspiration.
There were over 10,000 visitors to the large-scale exhibition in a week. It consisted of the productions which maintain the old traditions and made by modern artists. I introduce you to the some of them.
