"Ohanami" Cherry blossom viewing

I went cherry blossom viewing with my friend on April 9. Cherry blossom viewing is called Ohanami. This is one of the most exciting events for Japanese. To save spots for blossom viewing is the most important event for new emploees of big corporations in the big cities. I didn't have to do it because there are so many goog spots in Kanazawa city. I went to the riveside of Sai river. Unfortunately the cherry blossoms are not in full bloom. But I really enjoyed a lot. Drinking sake during the day outside made me excited and happy. I heard that there are some Ohanami spots in the some countries. Please let me know how to enjoy Ohanami in your place.

  History of Ohanami :

Heian nobles have enjoyed flower-viewing parties from Heian Period (794-1185). Ohanami is widely spread out in all corners of the country in the Azuchi Momoyama period (1568-1600).
