Shamisen |

| Shamisen is Japanese traditional musical instrument.In contrast to elegant image, this instrument have charged face. The stringency and sense of speed is no less smart than rock music. Concert by tens of people is so exiting. Besides solo performance, this is used for combination with Japanese drum and backing for folk song and dance.
Shamisen is string instrument similar to guitar. This has 3 strings.
Shamisen is mainly used for playing traditional Japanese music. But these days, electrical syamisen is developed, and come into use for pop music.
Allegedly, this instrument is formed in the 15 ～ 16 century. There are 3 main types of shamisen according to application, Those are hoso-zao, thu-zao, and huto-zao. Zao mean sao part.(Sao is like a guitar neck)
