The Sapporo Snow Festival

  The Sapporo Snow Festival

I went to the the Sapporo snow festival. It is one of the largest events in Japan. It is widely known for Jaanese as the seasonal tradition of winter. Over two million come to see the event every year.

Beautiful snow statues are made by the residents of Sapporo. Since 1955, the Self Defence Force joined the festival and made magnificent snow statues.

As the snow statues are reflected current social conditions, you can understand what people are interested in.
