Japan is divine land. Basically Japanese style wedding is held by a Shinto priest. However in these latter days, it is held in diverse ways. Over the past several years I've had more and more opportunities to attend Church wedding. This time, I introduce Buddhist wedding for young monk.
Bride and groom enter into the temple (Photo no.1 and 2)
Sit infront of the Buddhist altar to declare the marriage. (Photo no.3)
A high rank monk read a sutra aloud for bride and groom. (Photo no.4)
Bride and groom return favorite rosary and get new rosary. (Photo no.5)
In the presence of a high rank monk, exchange nuptial cups. (Photo no.6)
The ceremony went smoothly and bride and groom became husband and wife. |
