Japanese Cultural Topic No.65 Spring Festival "Haru-Matsuri" |
| |
| "Haru-Maturi" is said to originate from a festival held to pray for a good harvest before farm work starts. It is deeply involved with an autumn festival for celebrating a good harvest.
A ceremony to drive away evil spirits and wish for a good harvest is done same time in my place annually in March. This picture is that a girl is serving as Miko.
