  Tegaki-Yuzen (hand drawing Yuzen) is the technique which does a change the subjects such as beauties of nature and furnishings a pattern with hand drawing printed silk, and is expressed as the picture is drawn to coloring abundance at the technique of printed Yuzen paste (fine line paste) on the cloth.The hand drawing printed silk which has the coloring which is gorgeous with free conception is the decoration industrial arts which Japan is proud in the world.

  Technique

  Yuzensai devised which the precise pattern of multicolor dyeing can be drawn now by resist dyeing so that adjacent color may not be mixed with the yuzen paste (paste which mixed salt, glutinous rice and rice bran).

  The original method of the hand-drawn Yuzen style printed silk does drawing the pattern of rough sketch first by Aobana (squeezed dayflower sap), and the paste put into the pipe is placed on it, and it resist dyeing it.

Next, it colors to a pattern with pen,(Irosashi) and paste is placed all over pattern that it painted (stretching paste). And dye (ground dyeing) and steam a ground color, fix dye to cloth,and wash, and drop paste, and it is made to dry.
