Hi-Ougi (Japanese cypress fan)

'Hi-Ougi' is a folding fan made from the thin boards of the scentful Japanese cypress.
The aristocrat at the Heian era(9-12th century) used it as accessories.
It is so graceful fan bundled with the 5 colors silk threads and painted magnificently that its motif became popular for formal dressing like as 'furisode' and 'obi'.
The colorful threads flowing elegantly can add more prestigious tone to the design and it matches on celebratory occasions very well.
